Configure WA3002G4 BSNL Broadband Modem to Access Internet Connection via LAN and Wi-Fi

BSNL WA 3002 G4 Wi-fi ADSL ModemAre you new to UTStar WA3002G4 BSNL broadband modem? Got new broadband connection from BSNL and struggle to setup LAN and Wi-fi connection in this modem? Here is the quick tips about how to configure this modem. WA3002G4 is manufactured by UTStarcom Inc is an ADSL 2+ Modem/Router which features 4 Ethernet ports and 1 wireless LAN connectivity. Its very compact and powerful modem designed for home and small office networks. Just follow the steps to configure the WA3002G4 BSNL broadband modem to access your desktop and Laptop (Via Wi-fi) in same time.

Open your browser and type the URL http://192.168.1.1

Now a popup screen asks you to enter ID and password to configure your WA3002G4 BSNL broadband modem as we shown below.

Enter user name as admin and password as admin (This is the default factory settings preloaded with modem) then Click Ok. Once you Click, will enter modem admin page successfully as we shown below.

Now Click on Advanced Setup link on left navigation as we shown below.

Simply enable all check boxes as we shown below and click remove button to remove all default factory values.

Once you click remove button, all the factory values are removed from the modem settings.

Now simply refresh the page by pressing F5 button from your keyboard. Now, new option will come up in modem admin page as Quick Setup as we shown here. Then simply start setup your modem with following values.

Enter VPI = 0 and VCI = 35, then click next.

Now, enable the second radio check box called PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) and Under PPP Username and Password

PPP Username: = Your BSNL user name (* without @bsnl.in)
PPP Password:  = Your BSNL password
PPPoE Service Name: = Leave this Blank
Authentication Method: = Auto

No need to change any settings in this page and Click Next Button.

In this page, enable the settings as specified here.

Enable NAT = yes
Enable Firewall =yes
Enable IGMP Multicast = yes
Enable WAN Service = yes
Service Name =pppoe_0_35_1 (or anything else)

Then Click Next. In next screen, enable DHCP check box must be enabled to access your internet connection via Wi-fi

Now Click Next Button and enable another check box named Enable Wireless to access wireless internet.

Now all the settings are successfully configured in BSNL modem WA3002G4 and ready to move next step.

Click Save/Reboot button to restart you modem to apply new settings as we did above. Once modem restarted, Now we ready to access broadband internet access via LAN and Wi-fi network in WA3002G4 BSNL Modem. :)

    but i can’t access it on my iphone phone(supports wi-fi)

    i have the same modem but url http://192.168.1.1/ is not working for me(its not opening)please give any suggestions to change settings of modem and how to connect multible connection to my systems connects but it says “no gate way reply”….please help me to over come this problem.
